Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support high-quality backend and agentic AI code.
- Build, run, and consume MCP servers, including tool design, authentication/OAuth, multi-tenant security, and deployment.
- Build LLM agents with tool or function calling and multi-agent orchestration such as A2A.
- Test and evaluate agent behavior and provide production observability.
- Develop backend services in Python and Java with attention to performance and data quality.
- Contribute to architecture, design, scaling, reliability, maintainability, code reviews, and technical-debt reduction.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Quality Assurance to refine requirements and maintain high quality.
- Occasionally contribute to frontend user interfaces and share technical learnings with the team.
Requirements
- Be based in Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, or Mexico.
- Have strong written and spoken English skills.
- Have 4+ years of backend-heavy software development experience with Java and Python, including extensive Agentic AI usage.
- Have experience with data structures, relational databases, SQL, AI coding assistants, MCP servers, LLM agents, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Have experience building AI-driven applications, agentic products and features, or other LLM-based systems in production.
- Have experience with MCP server tool design, auth/OAuth, multi-tenant security, deployment, agent evaluation, and production observability.
- Have familiarity with cloud platforms, especially GCP, application infrastructure, containers, caching, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Be comfortable working independently on well-defined problems and committed to unit and functional testing.
- Have technical aptitude gained through post-secondary education, hands-on experience, or both.
- React and TypeScript experience, plus familiarity with JavaScript design patterns and single-page applications, are nice-to-have qualifications.
