Base Salary
$87k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, diagnose, repair, and improve MUMPS-based VistA Scheduling applications.
- Analyze user needs, replicate reported issues, and communicate with front-end users.
- Troubleshoot complex issues by understanding upstream, downstream, and system dependencies.
- Design solutions that account for current architecture, operating environments, and future enhancements.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to end-to-end software solutions for Veterans Affairs.
- Complete the required Booz Allen skills assessment and meet the minimum proficiency threshold.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of MUMPS software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working with VA VistA.
- At least 3 years of experience working with VA VistA Scheduling packages.
- Experience using VA FileMan and understanding dependencies involving VistA Scheduling and modernized Scheduling applications.
- Knowledge of design or architectural patterns, architecture styles, and APIs.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate with front-end users.
- Associate's degree in computer science.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, knowledge of Agile frameworks, and SAFe certifications are preferred.
