Responsibilities
- Own authentication, MFA, Passkey/WebAuthn, session and device trust, registration, and account recovery subsystems from requirements through production.
- Design secure, low-friction mobile account flows for millions of daily active users.
- Define architecture, technical tradeoffs, and long-term evolution for account systems.
- Partner with risk and security teams to translate threat models into shipped mobile defenses.
- Build automated AI-native development workflows and harnesses involving agents, evaluations, guardrails, and CI integration.
- Conduct design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and raise team engineering standards.
- At Staff level, set technical direction across the account platform and drive cross-team, cross-time-zone decisions.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience building native iOS and/or Android applications.
- Experience with a cross-platform or shared business-logic layer; Rust and UniFFI experience is a strong plus, while KMP, Flutter, and React Native experience is valued.
- Fluency in at least one of Swift, Kotlin, Rust, Objective-C, Java, or JavaScript, along with strong computer science fundamentals.
- Experience architecting large-scale mobile applications and owning solutions from requirements through production.
- Hands-on experience with mobile authentication and security, including OAuth/OIDC, MFA, secure storage, and biometrics.
- Passkey, WebAuthn, or FIDO2 experience is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of threat modeling and the mobile attack surface.
- Hands-on experience applying AI engineering workflows, including LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, RAG, agents, and taking an AI pipeline from concept to production.
- Ability to debug issues under real production load and work effectively with ambiguity and high scale.
- Demonstrated mentoring, team leadership, and ability to grow into a technical anchor.
- Experience with fraud or risk, cryptography, regulated industries, mini-programs, dynamic or hot-update frameworks, crypto trading, or Web3 is a plus.
