Responsibilities
- Build complex Ruby on Rails services within the Workato platform.
- Research the Slack and Microsoft Teams ecosystems, understand trends, and track changes.
- Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system.
- Investigate alternative technologies and present proposals for architectural review.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- At least five years of experience developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications.
- Strong object-oriented programming and design knowledge.
- Go experience is preferred.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or React is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Teams or Slack platforms and APIs is a plus.
- Ability to understand good user experience practices and work with distributed teams across time zones.
- Intermediate or higher spoken English.
