Responsibilities
- Implement scalable, secure, and resilient backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop, test, document, and review Java/Kotlin software throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design and build scalable backend systems, microservices, and APIs.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues affecting system stability and performance.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and participate in peer reviews of designs and code.
- Use Google Cloud Platform services to build, deploy, and manage software solutions.
- Support high-quality releases and collaborate with business analysts, quality engineers, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical standards and collaborate with global teams in a scaled Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional backend software development experience focused on Java/Kotlin systems.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, or Quarkus, along with microservices architecture, Docker containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with design patterns, SOLID principles, data structures, and collections.
- Experience designing scalable backend solutions and APIs.
- Experience with relational databases, advanced SQL, and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS, or another major cloud provider, including at least one year of cloud experience.
- At least 6 months of experience using Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and pipelines.
- Knowledge of Agile values, principles, and methods.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and global team-working skills.
- A willingness to learn, share knowledge, and work effectively across cultures and time zones.
