Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision and software architecture for Twilio’s enterprise AI/ML platforms and products.
- Establish architectural standards, guardrails, best practices, and cross-product technical reviews.
- Lead complex engineering initiatives and resolve ambiguous technical challenges at enterprise scale.
- Partner with product, engineering, program management, design, and executive stakeholders across business functions.
- Mentor senior technical leaders and cultivate a high-performance engineering culture.
- Present AI Engineering plans and deliverables to executive leadership.
- Guide technical blueprints across architecture, design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience designing and scaling distributed systems and platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to set technical vision and strategy at an enterprise or company-wide level.
- Expertise in system design, reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimization for large-scale architectures.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and resolving highly complex, ambiguous technical problems.
- Proven record of mentoring senior engineering talent and elevating organizational standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, influence, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
