Base Salary
$85k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop low-latency, highly available services supporting internal engineering teams and millions of Ford customers.
- Build Ford’s global vehicle software release and Over-the-Air update capabilities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver code aligned with technical vision, strategy, timelines, and roadmaps.
- Own code quality through code reviews, testing, solution collaboration, and application design.
- Use project management practices, processes, and tools to help drive projects to completion.
- Adapt to rapidly changing environments and collaborate across complex technical and regulatory settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience and education.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer using object-oriented languages such as Java, Spring Framework, C++, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience developing REST- or queue-based interfaces.
- At least 3 years of experience developing APIs with backend technologies such as Node.js, Go, or Python.
- At least 3 years of experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL queries.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing front-end interfaces with frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, Docker and Kubernetes experience, distributed microservices knowledge, GitHub Actions or Jenkins experience, trunk-based development, Open Application Model and infrastructure-as-code knowledge, SaaS development experience, and web security best-practices knowledge.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, systemic reasoning, organizational, and collaboration skills are preferred.
