Base Salary
$85k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop low-latency, highly available services supporting internal engineering teams and millions of Ford customers.
- Build and deliver Ford’s global software release, deployment, and over-the-air vehicle update capabilities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement technical initiatives and roadmap-aligned functionality.
- Own code quality through code reviews, testing, solution collaboration, and application design.
- Analyze customer needs and adapt solutions in a complex, rapidly changing, technically and regulatorily constrained environment.
- Use project management practices, processes, and tools to help drive projects to completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience and education.
- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer using object-oriented languages such as Java, Spring Framework, C++, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience developing REST- or queue-based interfaces.
- 3+ years of experience developing APIs with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Go, or Python.
- 3+ years of experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL queries.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- 3+ years of experience implementing front-end user interfaces with frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, Docker and Kubernetes experience, distributed microservices knowledge, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, infrastructure as code, SaaS development, and security best practices.

- This is a hybrid position; candidates within commuting distance of a Ford hub may be required onsite four or more days per week.
