Responsibilities
- Build and ship greenfield product features and product lines end-to-end with the founders.
- Design and implement APIs, data models, services, and user interfaces for the core product.
- Develop tax logic, third-party integrations, and reliable AI pipelines.
- Iterate rapidly based on real user feedback and measure shipped features.
- Influence architecture, technology, and product decisions with high autonomy.
- Optionally hire and mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and operating web applications end-to-end.
- Strong TypeScript and Node fundamentals, with experience in Next.js, FastAPI, or comparable server frameworks and React.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Backend-focused experience with APIs, data modeling, integrations, and ownership through to the UI; balanced full-stack profiles are also welcome.
- Experience deploying applications with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker.
- Meaningful experience integrating AI into daily coding workflows beyond autocomplete.
- Very good written and verbal English communication skills at minimum C1 level; German is a plus.
- Valid work permit to work in Germany.
- Experience working cross-functionally and a product-minded approach in an agile startup environment.
