Base Salary
$124k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the security point of contact for software, firmware, and physical product development teams.
- Help development teams build, verify, and maintain secure products using secure development processes.
- Design and assess firmware security for communication, authorization, authentication, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Contribute to security requirements supporting applicable security standards and certifications.
- Investigate emerging security threats and coordinate mitigations with affected teams.
- Participate in solution assessments from concept and design through deployment and end of life.
- Identify and prioritize vulnerability remediation and explain security risks to stakeholders.
- Perform penetration testing and ethical hacking on Allegion products as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on product development, software development, and cloud deployment or operations.
- Travel approximately 15% as expected.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of electronic device or firmware development experience.
- Demonstrated focus on application security or cybersecurity.
- Experience working with Internet of Things devices.
- Knowledge of applied cybersecurity concepts beyond generic vulnerability remediation advice.
- Working knowledge of delivering secure products and services using modern technologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and partner with stakeholders across the enterprise.
- College degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent education/experience.
- Related industry certifications are preferred.
- High learning agility and the ability to work across a global software and product portfolio.
