Responsibilities

  • Debug moderately complex software products using systematic tests and maintain quality standards.
  • Perform software tests on code and enhancements and develop, modify, and execute test plans.
  • Analyze and write test standards and procedures.
  • Document test results to support software debugging and modification.
  • Analyze test results, recommend corrective actions, and consult with development engineers on problem resolution.
  • Support technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
  • Ensure quality integration of computer systems into scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions.
  • Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expanded conceptual knowledge in the relevant discipline and the ability to broaden technical capabilities.
  • Understanding of key business drivers and the ability to apply technical experience and judgment to straightforward problems.
  • Ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations.
  • No supervisory experience is required; the role provides informal guidance to new team members.
