Responsibilities
- Debug moderately complex software products using systematic tests and maintain quality standards.
- Perform software tests on code and enhancements and develop, modify, and execute test plans.
- Analyze and write test standards and procedures.
- Document test results to support software debugging and modification.
- Analyze test results, recommend corrective actions, and consult with development engineers on problem resolution.
- Support technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
- Ensure quality integration of computer systems into scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions.
- Provide informal guidance to new team members.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expanded conceptual knowledge in the relevant discipline and the ability to broaden technical capabilities.
- Understanding of key business drivers and the ability to apply technical experience and judgment to straightforward problems.
- Ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations.
- No supervisory experience is required; the role provides informal guidance to new team members.
