Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
- Design, enhance, install, and support applications using Java and backend development skills.
- Analyze and interpret code and applications to identify system enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Conduct testing and debugging and recommend programming solutions to users, clients, and technology groups.
- Identify and resolve problems using acquired technical experience and established precedents.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts and serve as a subject-matter expert to stakeholders and team members.
- Assess risk, maintain compliance with applicable laws and policies, and escalate and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an Applications Development role.
- Experience with Java, J2EE, and Java backend development.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
