Responsibilities
- Execute assigned tasks supporting the successful delivery of business-critical initiatives with quality and timeliness.
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of systems and processes for operational efficiency and scalability.
- Analyze Snowflake query profiles, execution plans, warehouse usage, data trends, and anomalies to identify performance and cost improvement opportunities.
- Apply SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and FinOps principles involving cost monitoring and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with business, technology, operations, platform, and product teams to align delivery with organizational goals.
- Uphold governance, risk, security, compliance, and established policy requirements.
- Build knowledge of relevant domains, platforms, tools, Snowflake features, optimization techniques, and cloud best practices.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, including warehouses, clustering, partitioning, and query execution.
- Hands-on experience or foundational knowledge in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of FinOps principles, data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and batch or stream processing.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure and data ecosystem tools such as Python, Snowpark, or Kafka.
- Ability to interpret data trends, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights.
- Awareness of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance requirements, particularly in financial services.
- Effective collaboration, ownership, attention to detail, execution, and continuous learning skills.
