Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new product features and enhancements across the application stack.
- Contribute to software architecture and design discussions.
- Build and maintain PHP applications and APIs.
- Develop with front-end technologies as needed.
- Write complex SQL queries and contribute to PostgreSQL database schema design.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other team ceremonies.
- Identify and resolve functional or performance issues collaboratively.
- Use relevant development tools, including AI tools where appropriate.
- Conduct technical interviews through Nortal's Technical Interviewer Program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of full-stack development experience, ideally including PHP and Node.js.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in PHP and hands-on experience with Laravel, Symfony, or Lumen.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries and designing database schemas with PostgreSQL.
- Experience building and consuming APIs.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to address functional or performance issues proactively.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, quality, innovation, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with one or more of Redis, Memcached, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Solr, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-enabled development workflows.
- Advanced English proficiency is required for working with US clients.
