Responsibilities
- Build and operate infrastructure and DevOps solutions for Apple’s retail and marketing technology systems.
- Build and maintain build and release systems, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm.
- Develop automation and cloud-native tooling in Go, including integrations with Kubernetes ecosystems.
- Support cloud architectures, web servers, load balancers, virtualization environments, and Linux systems.
- Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, application security, system security, encryption, and secure containerization practices.
- Integrate Go backends and APIs with production web UI frontends when needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software engineering.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and working knowledge of Git and SVN.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
- Solid coding skills in Go, Java, or Python and working knowledge of Test-Driven Development.
- Experience building and maintaining build and release systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Pulumi, or Helm; web servers and load balancers such as Apache HTTP Server, NGINX, or HAProxy; and virtualization tools such as VMware ESXi, Vagrant, or KVM.
- General understanding of application security, system security, and transport layer security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, Docker image hardening, Vue, React, Svelte, and high-availability multi-cloud architecture.
- Preferred candidates have advanced production experience with Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm; strong Go, Java, and Python skills; and deep applied knowledge of security, encryption, and distributed systems.
