Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software and infrastructure for quantitative financial research.
- Accelerate the research lifecycle from data engineering through feature generation and analysis.
- Integrate diverse data sources including blockchains, exchanges, and data vendors.
- Test software at unit, functional, and integration levels.
- Work independently and within a small team with a strong user focus.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Python and experience building complex, maintainable, and safely refactorable modern Python systems.
- Hands-on experience managing large, evolving time-series data.
- Working knowledge of type safety and type systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, initiative, independence, and motivation to learn.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source crypto contributions, production blockchain node operations at scale, collaboration with quantitative researchers, machine learning lifecycle knowledge, functional programming, immutable design principles, and knowledge of blockchain types and clients.
