Base Salary
$154k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical relationship with enterprise Energy and Oil & Gas customers.
- Design and recommend AWS architectures addressing security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best practices.
- Lead architecture reviews, discovery sessions, technical discussions, cloud modernization initiatives, and Well-Architected reviews.
- Build generative AI demonstrations using RAG architecture for industry use cases.
- Create and share reference architectures, white papers, code samples, blog posts, workshops, and other technical content.
- Educate customers and the broader community about AWS technologies through presentations, user groups, meetups, videos, and conferences.
- Advocate for customer needs internally and help inform the AWS product and service roadmap.
- Collaborate with AWS product, marketing, professional services, account, and specialist teams.
- Help hire, coach, and mentor other Solutions Architects and participate in hiring debriefs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders or clients.
- Experience presenting and speaking with executives, IT professionals, management, and developers.
- Experience architecting and operating in large enterprise IT environments, including identity management, authentication frameworks, SOPs, ITSM, change management, and enterprise security controls.
- Preferred: 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Preferred: experience with software development tools and methodologies and with enterprise cloud or virtualization solutions.
- Preferred: experience with data and AI technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, databases, or storage.
- Preferred: experience designing industrial IoT architectures involving sensor networks, telemetry, equipment monitoring, and legacy operational system integrations.
