Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance a large legacy securities system built on PICK BASIC/MultiValue technology.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and deployments.
- Participate in high-level and detailed design, software development, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and the full software engineering lifecycle.
- Support developers and QA teams by diagnosing technical challenges and removing blockers.
- Work across legacy and modern environments including Linux, AIX, Java/Spring, DB2, WildFly, Jenkins, and Git.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Maintain bank security standards and satisfy audit requirements.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Mainframe, COBOL, PICK BASIC, MultiValue, Universe, or other legacy enterprise systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex codebases, databases, and system integrations.
- Comfort working across multiple technologies and learning unfamiliar systems quickly.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and software development tools.
- Preferred experience with Java/Spring and DB2 or MultiValue databases.
- Financial services or securities industry background is preferred.
- Technical leadership or mentoring experience is preferred.
