Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, testing, and maintenance of data solutions and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Use AI-assisted tools for code development, documentation, and troubleshooting under mentorship.
- Support data analysis, validation, quality assurance, profiling, and AI-powered anomaly detection activities.
- Prepare and augment datasets for analysis under supervision.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and troubleshoot issues with support.
- Learn and apply Agile practices while supporting project delivery and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Be a current third-year degree student required to complete an internship or work placement as part of the degree program and return to studies afterward.
- Have 1+ years of SQL experience or demonstrate SQL proficiency through coursework.
- Have foundational knowledge of databases, data concepts, analytical solutions, and SQL.
- Have familiarity with at least one ETL/ELT tool such as Informatica, TIBCO, or SSIS, or be willing to learn.
- Have a basic understanding of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects.
- Be familiar with or interested in cloud platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
- Be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a BS/BA program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrate interest in data engineering, analytical solutions, and AI-powered tools and platforms.
- Have foundational awareness of data security, privacy, data warehouse concepts, and data quality practices.
- Possess communication, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
