Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for agentic orchestration, including experience composition, cross-channel optimization, journey generation, execution, feedback, and continuous learning.
- Define agent responsibilities, tool access, decision rights, shared interfaces, handoffs, escalation paths, failure handling, and human-review controls.
- Design orchestration across field calls, remote engagement, approved email, events, headquarters email, and third-party channels.
- Translate commercial objectives, customer signals, approved content, consent, suppression rules, channel eligibility, and brand guardrails into configurable and testable orchestration behavior.
- Establish engineering standards, technical acceptance criteria, evaluation frameworks, production-readiness assessments, and definition-of-done requirements.
- Ensure recommendations and actions are explainable, traceable, compliant, auditable, reproducible, and supported by appropriate decision traces and versioning.
- Define evaluation, monitoring, feedback, outcome measurement, rollback, exception handling, safe fallback, and continuous optimization practices.
- Integrate orchestration with CRM, commercial data, content management, consent, identity, and channel-execution platforms.
- Establish secure enterprise integration patterns, canonical data contracts, semantic models, and configuration-driven architecture.
- Lead knowledge transfer from the implementation partner and ensure BMS owns the source code, configurations, documentation, and operational capability.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering production-grade next-best-action, next-best-engagement, journey optimization, decisioning, or omnichannel orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of multi-agent architecture, including decomposition, orchestration patterns, shared state, context management, handoffs, tool selection, failure handling, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangChain, or comparable frameworks.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol, APIs, event-driven integrations, webhooks, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
- Knowledge of context engineering, prompt management, structured outputs, tool calling, grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent memory.
- Experience with rules engines, constraint-based decisioning, prioritization logic, optimization models, contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, predictive scoring, and hybrid rules-and-model approaches.
- Experience with closed-loop orchestration, model and prompt evaluation, offline and adversarial testing, regression testing, guardrail testing, production monitoring, and continuous optimization.
- Experience establishing LLMOps and MLOps practices, including lifecycle management, evaluation gates, environment promotion, observability, rollback, and incident management.
- Strong understanding of production AI concerns including latency, token usage, cost controls, caching, concurrency, rate limits, retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation.
- Experience designing secure integrations using OAuth 2.0, workload identity, role-based access control, secrets management, encryption, API gateways, and audit logging.
