Responsibilities
- Design and evolve robust distributed systems while balancing scalability, latency, consistency, and fault tolerance.
- Develop and maintain high-performance Java backend services and APIs using Spring and Spring Boot.
- Optimize latency, asynchronous processing, and efficient I/O, and resolve bottlenecks through profiling, benchmarking, and load testing.
- Integrate financial platforms and third-party services with strong correctness, data integrity, and operational resilience.
- Build backend services for digital client channels and investment capabilities integrated with the bank’s e-banking platform.
- Design messaging and integration flows using JPA, JDBC templates, JMS, and event-driven patterns.
- Own software delivery across architecture, design, deployment, operations, optimization, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and global engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, building, and operating mission-critical financial systems.
- Proven expertise in Java-based backend architectures, distributed systems, and low-latency, high-availability services.
- Strong production mindset with end-to-end ownership across the software lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven design, JPA, JDBC, relational databases, and JMS.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, Bash scripting, cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure, and containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to API security, OAuth2, IAM concepts, and related standards.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, solve performance and quality problems, and collaborate in an agile global team.
- Previous financial-industry experience is preferred.
