Responsibilities
- Build and ship features for North, Cohere’s AI workspace platform.
- Develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data.
- Build workflow-builder, execution-engine, integration, debugging, observability, evaluation, and feedback-loop capabilities.
- Write minimal code that runs in low-resource environments and meets stringent deployment requirements.
- Work within stringent security and privacy constraints, including situations where popular libraries or tooling cannot be used.
- Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques.
- Ship reliable frontend, backend, and AI-powered software that helps customers augment or automate business workflows.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience.
- Production experience shipping substantial full-stack code using Python and React.
- Strong coding abilities and comfort working across the stack.
- Experience building and deploying highly performant client-side or server-side RAG or agentic applications for millions of users.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and objectives.
- Experience working in both large enterprises and startups.
- Ability to understand and fix issues outside the primary codebase.
- Strong fundamentals, product judgment, agency, and learning ability.
- Interest in art, design, and creative work is a bonus; a portfolio, GitHub, or other project showcase is a plus.
