Base Salary
$142k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope new products and take them through customer deployment.
- Build and deploy LiveOps web applications and tools that enable pilots to deploy and manage drone fleets.
- Develop software for high-stakes public safety and Drone as First Responder operations.
- Iterate continuously based on customer feedback and maintain a tight customer feedback loop.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver market-leading products.
- Develop data-intensive, scalable, fault-tolerant, and cloud-native software.
- Support real-time video, geospatial capabilities, and operation across degraded network conditions where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least five years of experience developing feature-rich web applications using industry-standard stacks such as MERN, MEAN, LAMP, or equivalent.
- Strong background in RESTful or microservice-oriented development.
- Fluency in Node.js, JavaScript, or an equivalent front-end/server framework.
- Proficiency building data-intensive applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous technical or product requirements and deliver quality software in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally on lean teams.
- Preferred: experience developing scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native software using serverless or equivalent technologies.
- Preferred: master’s or PhD in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with encrypted data, degraded network conditions, real-time video, production compliance regulations, geospatial software, and edge or IoT-enabled devices.
- Candidates may be considered for mid-career, senior, and principal positions.
