Base Salary
$142k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope new products and take them through development, deployment, and continuous customer-driven iteration.
- Build and deploy cloud-native web applications and tools that enable pilots to deploy and manage drone fleets remotely.
- Develop feature-rich, scalable full-stack applications and RESTful or microservice-oriented services.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines and involve customers in the product development loop.
- Build software capable of supporting high-stakes public-safety operations and varied network conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing feature-rich web applications using MERN, MEAN, LAMP, or equivalent stacks.
- Fluency in Node.js, JavaScript, or an equivalent front-end/server framework.
- Strong experience with RESTful or microservice-oriented development.
- Proficiency building data-intensive applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous technical or product requirements and deliver quality software in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally on lean teams.
- Preferred: experience with scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-native or serverless software.
- Preferred: master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with encrypted data, real-time video using RTSP or WebRTC, geospatial software, compliance standards such as SOC 2, CJIS, or ISO, and edge or IoT-enabled devices.
