Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and lead a team of engineers for Ubuntu Linux.
- Drive engagements with key Silicon and Cloud partners.
- Lead the mitigation of vulnerabilities and enhance kernel security.
- Architect performance improvements for Ubuntu Linux.
- Streamline packaging and distribution of third-party components.
- Develop scalable delivery methods for Ubuntu Linux.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience in operating systems.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Expert understanding of the C programming language.
- Experience with *nix-based operating systems, preferably Linux.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Strong knowledge of the git version control system.
- Willingness to travel internationally at least twice a year.
