Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction and lead a team of engineers for Ubuntu Linux.
  • Drive engagements with key Silicon and Cloud partners.
  • Lead the mitigation of vulnerabilities and enhance kernel security.
  • Architect performance improvements for Ubuntu Linux.
  • Streamline packaging and distribution of third-party components.
  • Develop scalable delivery methods for Ubuntu Linux.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of industry experience in operating systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Expert understanding of the C programming language.
  • Experience with *nix-based operating systems, preferably Linux.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of the git version control system.
  • Willingness to travel internationally at least twice a year.
