Base Salary

$262k - $364k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define multi-year architectural blueprints across production PKI domains and resolve complex cross-team architectural trade-offs.
  • Establish unified cryptographic and API design standards and lead cross-domain design reviews.
  • Author and drive three-to-five-year technical goals for production identity, including post-quantum readiness, confidential computing, and agentic workflows.
  • Translate Regional Security Isolation and Cryptographic Hygiene mandates into sequenced engineering roadmaps.
  • Align stakeholders, shared dependencies, and architectural practices across specialized working groups and sub-teams.
  • Partner with Security Leadership, Cloud Foundations, Infrasec SRE, CorpEng, and Hardware Security teams.
  • Lead operational excellence, multi-region fault tolerance, automated key rotations, and disaster recovery readiness across production services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Eight years of experience programming in C++.
  • Five years of experience with design and architecture, and testing and launching software products.
  • Experience setting multi-team technical strategy or serving as a Lead Architect or Tech Lead for mission-critical, large-scale systems.
  • Deep expertise in Public Key Infrastructure, applied cryptography, X.509, cryptographic key lifecycles, asymmetric and symmetric algorithms, and identity/token architectures.
  • Ability to navigate cross-functional organizational dynamics, build consensus among senior leadership stakeholders, and lead geographically distributed engineering teams.
