Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance SAPUI5/Fiori applications using JavaScript, XML views, controllers, fragments, models, routing, and reusable components.
- Build and extend Fiori Elements and freestyle UI5 applications according to defined architecture and SAP Fiori UX principles.
- Integrate UI5 applications with OData services and CDS-backed APIs.
- Analyze defects, application logs, code, and test evidence to identify root causes and technical risks.
- Perform debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization.
- Conduct code and design reviews and document findings with supporting evidence.
- Maintain assigned RAG items, risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation actions.
- Support backlog prioritization, defect triage, testing, releases, and production stabilization.
- Collaborate with functional, ABAP/BTP, integration, and testing teams to resolve delivery dependencies.
- Prepare technical analysis and status materials and escalate material issues with evidence.
- Use approved AI tools for code explanation, defect analysis, unit-test preparation, documentation, and knowledge search while validating AI-derived recommendations.
- Support junior developers through technical guidance and code-review feedback.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Hands-on SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori development experience.
- Strong JavaScript and XML development skills, including UI5 controllers, fragments, models, routing, and data binding.
- Experience consuming and troubleshooting OData services and working with Fiori Elements and annotations.
- Experience with SAP Business Application Studio, debugging, and UI5 performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git/version control and standard development lifecycle practices.
- Experience contributing to troubled-project stabilization or application remediation, including defect analysis, root-cause identification, and recovery-action tracking.
- Ability to communicate technical issues and dependencies clearly, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and escalate risks with evidence.
- Preferred experience includes CDS views and annotations, SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori Launchpad, automated testing, CI/CD, clean-core development, SAP Fiori/UI5 or BTP certification, S/4HANA implementation or AMS/support exposure, Agile development environments, accessibility, and responsive design.
