Responsibilities
- Design and implement systems supporting advertiser experiences and the creator ads platform.
- Lead the vision and strategy for next-generation infrastructure focused on scalability, performance, availability, and advertiser value.
- Conceptualize advertiser flows and creator marketplace products using market trends, user behavior, and advertiser needs.
- Architect, design, and develop distributed systems operating at high availability and scale.
- Collaborate with product management, design, data science, and other engineering teams.
- Drive technical ownership and direction across engineering projects.
- Mentor and guide engineers while promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Advocate for operational excellence, performance, availability, and cost management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or another technical field, or equivalent years of experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s or PhD with the stated reduced experience requirements.
- 10+ years of post-bachelor’s software development experience, or 9+ years with a master’s degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience or experience acting as a domain expert for a technical organization.
- Experience setting technical direction and owning engineering projects.
- Experience architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems.
- Deep expertise building and scaling advertiser, creator, or similar platforms.
- Strong programming, software design, debugging, performance analysis, and test-design skills.
- Proven experience operating highly available systems at scale.
- Ads domain experience.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills.
- Preferred experience with cross-platform development and managing concurrent engineering projects.

- Base salary ranges vary by U.S. pay zone: $235,000-$352,000 in Zone C, $262,000-$393,000 in Zone B, and $276,000-$414,000 in Zone A.
