Base Salary
$209k - $283k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build reliable and scalable system services for Physical AI workloads.
- Develop runtime infrastructure for on-device deployment, lifecycle management, and updates of AI-powered components.
- Create abstractions that decouple applications from AI frameworks, models, and hardware accelerators.
- Build APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling for integrating AI-powered features.
- Improve workflows from local development through on-device deployment and updates.
- Build observability and diagnostic capabilities for performance, failures, and system behavior.
- Optimize performance across CPUs and AI accelerators under edge, resource, and real-time constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and AI engineers on platform capabilities and developer-facing abstractions.
- Contribute to reference implementations, documentation, and example workflows.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building systems software, platform services, or distributed systems in production.
- 3+ years of experience building developer platforms, SDKs, or internal tooling.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
- Understanding of Linux-based systems, process isolation, IPC, service lifecycles, and API build and versioning.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work across APIs and lower-level system behavior.
- Preferred experience with container technologies and modern packaging and deployment approaches.
- Preferred familiarity with edge computing, embedded Linux, or real-time systems.
- Preferred exposure to AI/ML inference systems and heterogeneous computing across CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, and DSPs.
- Preferred background in robotics, vision systems, or Physical AI applications.
- Open-source systems or developer tooling contributions are preferred.
- Familiarity with security concepts such as secure boot, isolation, or attestation is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
