Base Salary
$130k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy learned behavior-planning models using reinforcement learning, behavior cloning, and imitation learning.
- Own the end-to-end reinforcement learning pipeline, including environment construction, training, and modeling.
- Contribute to reinforcement learning infrastructure for large-scale distributed training.
- Track training, analyze model performance, identify failure modes, and improve generalization across driving scenarios.
- Collaborate with simulation and planning teams to deploy learned behavior-planning models to driving pipelines.
Requirements
- Required: MS or PhD in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience developing production code in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Experience with reinforcement learning.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with high-throughput batched driving simulators such as GPUDrive and PufferDrive.
- Preferred: experience with self-play reinforcement learning and sim-to-real in robotics or autonomous driving.
- Preferred: prior experience in learned behavior planning or prediction for autonomous vehicles.
