Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, debug, test, validate, implement, and maintain applications across the software development life cycle.
- Develop moderately complex front-end and back-end code for internal and external client software solutions.
- Create program specifications, application documentation, implementation plans, and technical deliverables.
- Analyze and modify complex code, advise on testing and corrective measures, and propose systemic improvements.
- Work with business and technology teams, clients, joint ventures, and vendor partners to determine solution approaches.
- Advise leadership on application and infrastructure standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Develop and administer billable-hour and resource estimates for complex initiatives, projects, and issues.
- Assist with on-the-job training and provide technical expertise and advice to software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of six years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of two or more enterprise programming languages or technologies spanning front-end and back-end development.
- Experience with APIs, external services, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred eight or more years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Preferred experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Knowledge of applicable operating systems, databases, back-end and front-end technologies, web frameworks, development tools, mobile development, and machine learning technologies.
