Responsibilities
- Build new features for the Arango Data Platform UI and contribute to the ArangoDB UI.
- Develop interfaces for graph visualization, data exploration, query and developer tooling, AI-powered agent and GraphRAG experiences, and dashboards.
- Modernize legacy frontend code by migrating it to React and TypeScript.
- Partner with designers to implement Figma designs and prototypes while applying UX judgment.
- Own features from requirements definition through shipping and iteration.
- Collaborate with backend and AI/ML engineers to integrate APIs and accurately represent platform capabilities in the UI.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience developing frontend applications.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Basic understanding of BackboneJS and jQuery.
- Good UX comprehension and understanding of API-based communication with backends.
- Ability to work through complex code and develop reasonable solutions.
- Good communication and articulation skills.
- Willingness to take feature or product ownership and drive development.
- Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing is a plus.
- Open-source contributions and ArangoDB, SQL, or NoSQL database knowledge are a plus.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, or agentic workflow tools such as Claude Code or Codex is a plus.
