Responsibilities
- Build and evolve a scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly internal platform for software development, deployment, and operations.
- Develop tools that abstract platform complexity, improve developer experience, and reduce infrastructure toil.
- Use Terraform, Helm, and Crossplane to provision and manage cloud infrastructure and support GitOps practices.
- Establish monitoring and logging foundations in collaboration with the Site Reliability Engineering function.
- Incorporate security best practices, support compliance, and participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Coordinate upgrades with internal and external stakeholders and hold service providers accountable.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping production applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience creating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production, or a strong desire to develop that experience.
- Foundational understanding of distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure as code technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with curiosity and problem-solving ability.
