Base Salary
$117k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement distributed systems for network-level security controls, including policy management, ACL enforcement, distributed firewalls, and DDoS protection.
- Develop microservices for network security platforms across cloud infrastructure and distributed platform environments.
- Research and implement networking security solutions for intra- and cross-region network flows.
- Build, operate, test, monitor, deploy, and maintain production security platforms in a full DevOps model.
- Provide code reviews and mentorship while promoting engineering excellence.
- Use AI development tools and prompt engineering to produce secure, optimized, and production-grade code.
- Design systems in which AI agents integrate with human workflows and maintain shared system context for reliable AI operation.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-availability, 24/7 environment, preferably involving cloud platforms.
- A demonstrated AI-first engineering approach and experience using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create precise prompts and reliable system context.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, C++, or Python.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Preferred experience with network security platforms, including segmentation, ACLs, and DDoS protection.
- Preferred experience with cloud network architecture, cloud security services, container networking, service mesh, networking protocols, authentication, secure transport, and identity management.

- The role offers a base salary range of $117,200-$176,700 annually, or $141,200-$194,200 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas; bonus, equity, and benefits may be separate.
