Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automotive bootloader software for ECU platforms.
- Design and implement Secure Boot, Secure Flashing, firmware updates, and A/B image update mechanisms.
- Integrate bootloaders with AUTOSAR BSW and MCAL layers.
- Support ECU bring-up on ARM-based microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Implement UDS-based programming services using ISO 14229.
- Develop software download and reprogramming functionality over CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, and FlexRay.
- Debug startup, reset, flash-memory, and boot-sequence issues.
- Perform bootloader integration, verification, and validation.
- Implement cryptographic verification, HSM integration, and ISO 21434 requirements with cybersecurity teams.
- Support production, manufacturing flashing, and field update activities.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional experience in relevant embedded or automotive software development.
- BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Computer Science, or proven equivalent experience through software-download and OTA update expertise.
- Strong C and Embedded C programming skills, with basic assembly-language knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with automotive bootloaders, including PBL, SBL, Secure Boot, flash drivers, and firmware-update mechanisms.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic Architecture, BSW, MCAL, memory stack, communication stack, diagnostic stack, and Vector DaVinci tools.
- Experience with 32-bit automotive microcontrollers such as Infineon Aurix, Renesas, PowerPC, or ARM-based MCUs.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, CAN FD, UDS, ISO 14229, and optionally XCP.
- Experience with Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash, Lauterbach Debugger, and JTAG debugging.
- Knowledge of encryption/decryption, digital signatures, HSM, and ISO 21434.
- Understanding of ASPICE and automotive product-development processes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum software-development environments and in ADAS, infotainment, or vehicle gateway systems.
- U-Boot knowledge is preferred.
