Base Salary
$68k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver responsive, accessible, scalable, and maintainable frontend architecture for micro-frontends.
- Develop high-quality frontend components and interfaces for eCommerce products.
- Implement API integrations and architecture supporting Ford products and external cloud services.
- Use AI coding assistants such as Ford LLM and GitHub Copilot in daily development workflows.
- Implement UI features from Figma design specifications.
- Analyze and improve performance using Lighthouse, Dynatrace, and other monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, architecture, cloud, security, SRE, and DevOps teams.
- Test and debug UI issues across browsers and devices and troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or a similar stack.
- Experience with micro-frontends, server-side rendering, client-side rendering, and static site generation.
- Proficiency with unit, integration, acceptance, and contract testing using tools such as Jest and Playwright.
- Strong JavaScript skills, including DOM manipulation and object models.
- Knowledge of Flux, Zustand, or Redux for state management.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and SEO principles.
- Understanding of web security, OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, CSP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure coding practices.
- Understanding of WCAG requirements and experience using design system libraries.
- Experience with ES6, Babel, React, Node.js, NPM, Yarn, and Webpack.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind, JavaScript, TypeScript, SMACSS, and BEM.
- Experience working in monorepos using Turborepo or Nx and code-sharing tools such as JFrog or Nexus.
- Awareness of headless architecture and experience with headless or classic CMS platforms.
- Strong aesthetic sense covering layout, grid systems, color theory, and typography.
- eCommerce or similar customer-facing platform experience, communication skills, collaboration, ownership, and ability to work with minimal supervision are preferred.
