Base Salary

$195k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based HPC systems involving scheduling, metrics, containerization, software distribution, accelerated compute performance, efficiency, and cloud architecture.
  • Run and support the 24/7 production HPC platform and contribute to platform reliability and operations.
  • Implement automation spanning CI/CD pipelines, production metrics, and monitoring.
  • Partner with researchers and engineers to deliver and evolve efficient, reliable cloud HPC systems.
  • Manage capacity and optimize benchmarks and performance for research- and trading-critical workloads.
  • Manage inferencing and training hardware at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or applied sciences from a rigorous academic program, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience building and shipping software systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience running production compute platforms and scheduling systems.
  • Strong software engineering skills in system design, testing, debugging, and building reliable production systems, with fluency in a language such as Python, Go, or Rust.
  • Experience with a cloud-based infrastructure-as-code tool such as Terraform.
  • Knowledge of NVIDIA GPU management, Kubernetes, Slurm, and the broader large-scale compute ecosystem.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with or supporting researchers or developers is preferred.
