Responsibilities
- Review vendor code for quality, efficiency, standards compliance, and best practices.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for code improvements and collaborate with vendors on issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain code review guidelines and processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts and quality engineers on user story elaboration, test automation, and bug fixes.
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence system design.
- Design and develop reusable components, microservices, and containerized applications.
- Work with deployment and DevOps teams on continuous integration, build, release automation, and application deployments.
- Review source code scan reports and coordinate remediation with vendors.
- Translate business requirements into system and application architecture specifications with stakeholders.
- Research Java technologies and emerging technologies and recommend appropriate changes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience serving as a technical lead across the full software development lifecycle is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Java, containers, Kubernetes, reusable components, and microservices.
- Knowledge of shell scripts, operating systems, and Oracle databases.
- Proven experience with DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment.
- Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SWIFT architecture and systems is advantageous.
- Experience with Singapore payment systems is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as Java, AWS Solutions Architect, or Kubernetes certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of change management and business process improvement is advantageous.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
