Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable APIs, microservices, and data pipelines powering the platform
- Own backend features end to end from design through deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with frontend teams on data contracts and system integrations
- Implement practices for performance, reliability, and observability
- Optimize database design, query performance, and system latency
- Integrate with third-party CRM, ticketing, and POS systems
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help evolve engineering culture
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience, ideally with SaaS or high-scale production systems
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, Rust, or Go
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and data modeling
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, automated testing, and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, caching, and distributed systems design
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with machine learning pipelines or event-driven architectures is a bonus
