Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of backend features from design to deployment.
- Collaborate with frontend teams on data contracts and system integrations.
- Implement best practices around performance, reliability, and observability.
- Optimize database design, query performance, and system latency.
- Integrate with third-party systems including CRMs, ticketing, and POS solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, ideally in SaaS or high-scale production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, Rust or Go.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, automated testing, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, caching, and distributed systems design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus: experience with machine learning pipelines or event-driven architectures.
