Responsibilities
- Plan and develop end-to-end engineering solutions to accomplish business goals.
- Build reliability, resiliency, maintainability, and reusability into engineering solutions through testing and review.
- Ensure solutions are well architected and integrate successfully with end-to-end business processes.
- Review engineering plans and quality to improve reuse and engineering capability.
- Own delivery from design through deployment across environments into production.
- Participate in industry forums and promote adoption of innovative technologies, tools, and solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams across multiple geographies.
- Promote healthy communication and provide coaching within the team.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the IT industry with hands-on Java and SQL development skills.
- Proficiency in full-stack development using Java, React, Angular 8+, and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern build tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience developing cloud-based full-stack applications.
- Experience with end-to-end solution design and delivery.
- Python experience is desirable.
- Working knowledge of JMS, PubSub, messaging and integration patterns, REST, and SOA.
- Strong experience with unit and integration testing, code quality, security, DevOps, and software delivery practices.
- Experience with public cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or ideally Google Cloud.
- Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine, Red Hat OpenShift, and Helm.
- Experience with Anthos, Anthos Service Mesh or Consul Service Mesh, dependency management, CVE mitigation, and observability tools.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Operations or New Relic, Git, JIRA, Artifactory, and BitBucket.
- Understanding of certificates, keys, secrets management, code analyzers, linters, and security fundamentals.
- Experience with VeraCode, SonarQube, KtLint, and ESLint.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, optimize workflows, and solve business problems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, teamwork, and coaching skills.
