Base Salary
$150k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable, high-performance software systems.
- Write, test, maintain, and review high-quality code that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design backend services and APIs that perform reliably in production.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues while improving system performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive improvements in code quality, development processes, team efficiency, continuous delivery, and monitoring.
- Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams and API specifications, and communicate technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to company-wide technology strategy.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile development processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong background in software design and architecture.
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.
- Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor in daily development workflows.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns and design, including microservices, distributed systems, hexagonal architecture, and domain-driven design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
