Base Salary

$176k - $267k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement complex software engineering methods using modern programming languages and operating systems.
  • Define requirements, analyze, design, implement, debug, test, and optimize computer programs.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain software systems using object-oriented analysis, design, and programming techniques.
  • Collaborate with developers, management, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver technical projects and solutions.
  • At the SES.4 level, manage multiple complex tasks and priorities, provide expert technical solutions, and establish technical direction and vision.
  • At the SES.4 level, write research proposals and/or secure sponsor funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Advanced experience with object-oriented programming using C++ or Java and interpreted languages such as Lua or Python.
  • Advanced experience developing software in Linux and Windows environments across the software development lifecycle.
  • Advanced experience with Git and GitLab/GitHub.
  • Advanced experience applying innovative approaches and new technologies to tasks and projects.
  • Advanced communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • An active DOE Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • At the SES.4 level, expert-level software-system design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance experience plus experience providing technical direction and vision.
  • A master’s degree and experience developing access-control or intrusion-detection software are desired.
