Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical vision for intelligent networking, distributed systems, real-time data processing, agentic AI, and machine learning capabilities.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, production operations, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Design and build scalable microservices, data pipelines, distributed data platforms, agentic solutions, and integrations with networking systems.
- Mentor engineers, establish technical direction, and foster engineering excellence and innovation.
- Improve system architecture, performance, resilience, security, observability, scalability, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of complete software development lifecycle experience and at least 7 years of programming experience.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python, Java, Go, or C++.
- At least 3 years of experience leading the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems, preferably on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with real-time microservices, stream processing, distributed data platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI or agentic systems, network telemetry, or large-scale analytics.
- Experience designing high-volume, high-velocity data systems with stringent scalability, availability, latency, and operational reliability requirements.
- Experience mentoring engineers, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or PhD and experience with generative AI or agentic systems, networking and observability platforms, event-driven microservices, large-scale datasets, and Kafka, Spark, Flink, PySpark, MapReduce, or comparable technologies.
