Responsibilities
- Own large-scale speech and audio data pipelines covering collection, cleaning, filtering, labeling, augmentation, and quality control.
- Partner with senior speech engineers on term and hotword mining strategies based on ASR system output.
- Support fine-tuning and evaluation of speech and language models to improve recognition of code-switching, names, and product terms.
- Adapt models using scenario-specific data for industry-specific terminology across languages and verticals.
- Build evaluation test sets and frameworks based on keywords and domain lexicons, and benchmark internal models against open-source and commercial baselines.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in speech, machine learning, or large-scale data engineering.
- Experience with ASR or SpeechLLM training, fine-tuning, or evaluation; LLM or general ML model training or fine-tuning; or large-scale audio, video, or text data pipelines.
- Solid Python and PyTorch fundamentals.
- Experience with distributed data processing using tools such as Spark or Ray.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with SpeechLLM or speech self-supervised learning, StepAudio or Qwen3-Omni, hotword or contextual-biasing and code-switching ASR improvements, relevant publications or patents, and ownership of large-scale speech-data workstreams.
