Base Salary
$143k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead full-stack engineering across React frontend applications, Java services, APIs, and supporting distributed systems.
- Provide technical mentorship, architectural guidance, design oversight, code review support, and engineering standards leadership.
- Develop and maintain frontend features using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend architecture patterns.
- Design and support APIs, service integrations, relational data models, and database-backed functionality.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, support durable fixes, and participate in incident response and operational follow-up.
- Evaluate generative AI and AI-assisted software engineering tools to improve workflows, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Contribute to planning, prioritization, documentation, legacy technology evaluation, migration planning, and developer productivity improvements.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and other cross-functional partners to deliver maintainable technical solutions.
- Travel as needed to support team or business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering or full-stack application development.
- Experience leading full-stack development teams through technical mentoring and design oversight.
- Proficiency with React, modern frontend architecture, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong programming experience in Java.
- Experience using generative AI and AI-assisted software engineering tools in daily development workflows.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, APIs, distributed systems, and evolving system architectures.
- Exposure to GraphQL, Unix/Linux environments, and legacy technologies in large-scale production systems is preferred.
- Strong communication, ownership, accountability, technology adoption, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Boston, Massachusetts, and in a product-focused setting.
