Base Salary
$250k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own Slash’s security program end-to-end by identifying gaps, prioritizing initiatives, and driving changes independently
- Manage and harden Cloudflare, AWS WAF, VPC networking, and overall infrastructure security
- Implement application-security features such as passkey authentication and SMS rate limiting
- Manage recurring penetration tests and the bug bounty program and coordinate remediation across engineering
- Assist with PCI and SOC 2 compliance efforts
- Establish security patterns, tooling, and guardrails that enable safe engineering velocity
- Own corporate IT security, including company equipment and endpoint security
- Work with customers, internal stakeholders, and vendors to explain and support Slash’s security practices
Requirements
- Security generalist knowledge spanning infrastructure through application code
- Ability to understand and work on Kubernetes/EKS, CockroachDB, Kafka, Terraform/Pulumi, and AWS infrastructure while focusing on security
- Proficiency in TypeScript or another object-oriented language
- Ability to independently identify gaps, prioritize work, and drive high-impact security changes
- Strong organization and coordination skills for penetration tests, audits, and competing priorities
- Either current or recent founder experience in the security space, or 2–5 years of experience with rapid promotion to senior/staff level at companies with a high security bar
