Responsibilities
- Extend and maintain Smartly’s Design System library and shared UI components.
- Partner with designers to improve UI development workflows, tooling, and collaboration practices.
- Drive Design System adoption through reusable components and implementation patterns.
- Own and improve frontend build, release, and deployment processes.
- Develop customer-facing features supporting onboarding, product adoption, insights, recommendations, notifications, and alerts.
- Contribute to frontend architecture decisions focused on maintainability, scalability, performance, accessibility, and quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and the Engineering Manager on technical and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable UI component libraries or Design Systems.
- Ability to own features and technical initiatives from design through implementation and release.
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture, performance, accessibility, and maintainability best practices.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Vitest, React Testing Library, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong collaboration and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
