Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks and solutions.
- Consolidate test libraries, automation assets, and tools into reusable frameworks.
- Define technical standards, governance, and best practices for test automation and quality engineering.
- Lead initiatives to improve software quality, testing effectiveness, and time-to-market.
- Evaluate and implement AI-assisted testing for test generation, test data creation, defect analysis, regression optimization, and test maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to test engineers and automation specialists.
- Perform hands-on testing, automation development, scripting, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.
- Collaborate with business, development, testing, and quality engineering teams across trading, clearing, and risk management systems.
- Support project delivery by managing testing activities and identifying and mitigating quality risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong expertise in software testing methodologies, test planning, test automation, and quality engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation tools.
- Proficiency in Ruby, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery methodologies, DevOps, and continuous testing practices.
- Practical experience using AI-powered productivity or testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor.
- Understanding of AI-assisted testing concepts, including automated test generation, intelligent test maintenance, defect analysis, regression optimization, and test data generation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering teams.
- Preferred experience in financial services, capital markets, trading, exchange, clearing, or risk management systems.
- Preferred experience implementing AI-enabled testing initiatives, proof-of-concepts, or enterprise productivity improvement programs.
- Preferred exposure to Large Language Models, Generative AI applications, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted software engineering.
- Preferred experience with cloud-based environments, modern software delivery ecosystems, and geographically distributed teams.
