Responsibilities
- Lead technical test strategy and governance across software, electronics, embedded systems, and intelligent features throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess project scope, system architecture, technical complexity, partner capability, and delivery risks to define risk-based test coverage.
- Define and deploy software, electronics, system-level, integration, automation, and continuous test solutions.
- Review third-party test plans, source code, electronic hardware designs, quality metrics, evidence, and engineering processes.
- Govern defect trends, test coverage, code quality indicators, risk exposure, readiness criteria, and quality dashboards.
- Lead resolution of complex test issues, root-cause analysis, mitigation planning, and sustainable quality improvements.
- Engage with partner engineering and QA leaders, challenge technical assumptions, escalate risks, and hold suppliers accountable for quality and delivery commitments.
- Represent Test & QA in project forums and technical reviews from concept through launch readiness and production delivery.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on capability in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, C, or C++.
- More than four years of experience leading JDM/ODM partner testing, quality governance, technical reviews, and delivery assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Deep experience with robotics, sensors, vision systems, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AI, or connected-product technologies, preferably in consumer products or embedded systems.
- Advanced experience with Zephyr, Jira, Confluence, Stash, Git, and Bamboo.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, IoT, real-time operating systems, mobile applications, cloud-connected services, software quality assurance, test architecture, automation, quality metrics, and engineering governance.
- Experience working in Agile software development or DevOps environments, including continuous integration, release governance, and iterative quality assurance.
- Strong strategic judgment, critical thinking, structured problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and influencing skills without direct authority.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal direction.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
