Responsibilities
- Lead partner-led software, electronics, and system-level test strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess project scope, system architecture, technical complexity, and delivery risks to define risk-based test coverage.
- Define and deploy advanced test solutions, automation approaches, and continuous test analysis for nightly builds and release readiness.
- Evaluate third-party test strategies, engineering processes, quality metrics, technical maturity, source code, hardware designs, and test evidence.
- Define and govern quality metrics and dashboards covering defect trends, test coverage, code quality, risk exposure, and readiness criteria.
- Lead integration test planning for third-party components, subsystems, and software releases within complete Dyson product systems.
- Resolve complex technical test issues through root-cause analysis, mitigation planning, and sustainable improvements.
- Engage partner engineering and QA leaders, escalate quality risks, and hold suppliers accountable for agreed benchmarks and delivery commitments.
- Represent Test & QA in project forums and technical reviews, influencing product development and test lifecycle decisions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on capability in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, C, or C++.
- More than four years of experience leading JDM/ODM partner testing, quality governance, technical reviews, and delivery assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Deep experience with robotics, sensors, vision systems, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AI, or connected-product technologies, preferably in complex consumer products or embedded systems.
- Advanced experience with Zephyr, Jira, Confluence, Stash, Git, and Bamboo.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, IoT, real-time operating systems, mobile applications, and cloud-connected services.
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance, test architecture, automation, quality metrics, engineering governance, and integration testing.
- Experience working in Agile software development or DevOps environments, including continuous integration, release governance, and iterative quality assurance.
- Ability to influence cross-functional and partner teams without direct authority and operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
