Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy software build, test, and release pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery of embedded system products.
- Develop firmware and software platforms that enable application engineers to implement behavior features on AI-enabled products and support mass production.
- Own the lifecycle of complex modules and systems, including image build, testing, release, hardware abstraction, manufacturing verification, documentation, coding, maintenance, and result tracking.
- Integrate and calibrate sensors, cameras, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other hardware modules.
- Develop high-performance, product-quality C++ software using object-oriented programming, multithreading, synchronization mechanisms, STL, and Boost.
- Act as a subject matter expert, mentor engineers, disseminate best practices, identify technical risks, and influence their resolution.
- Participate in cross-team product design discussions and provide technical support to manufacturing test and interdisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Robotics Engineering, or a similar field.
- At least 8 years of embedded systems development experience, including board bring-up and embedded Linux kernel or driver porting for system integration.
- Experience setting up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Linux toolchains, the Yocto build system, Git, and system configuration.
- Experience configuring and using sensor devices over I2C, SPI, and UART with DMA.
- Experience integrating and calibrating sensors, cameras, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi modules.
- Experience with automated testing and manufacturing test processes is highly desired.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and basic electronics hardware interfaces.
- Strong C++ and object-oriented programming skills, including familiarity with STL, Boost C++ libraries, and design patterns.
- Strong proficiency in multithreaded programming and synchronization mechanisms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Agile experience is a plus, along with technical guidance, project oversight, communication, collaboration, and English fluency.
