Base Salary
$112k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, review, and ship features in Java and Spring Boot services.
- Process high-volume event streams and maintain shopper data freshness using Kafka, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Build APIs and LLM-backed intelligence features that recommend next actions to dealers.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across services, participate in on-call, and improve alerting and observability.
- Partner with product, design, backend, and frontend engineers to scope, design, and launch projects.
- Help improve testing, deployment, and operations for owned services.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, ideally with Spring Boot.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB or another NoSQL datastore and comfort with SQL.
- Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, distributed systems, event streams or message queues, and caching trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Experience writing automated tests and selecting appropriate tests for changes.
- Experience or interest in using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Python and hands-on experience with LLM or agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph are preferred.
- Clear communication, curiosity, willingness to learn, and interest in the dealer domain.

- Annual base salary range of $112,000–$141,000 USD.
